Sorry for the 10 day absence. I've been dealing with a lot of stressful things at home, work, personal. And they've finally culminated in a really bad cold that has me so exhausted. However, I just received and put together my spin bike that I bought from Amazon. It was recommended by another weightloss/fitness blogger. I really loved my spinning class, but realize that I don't have the time and money to do "drop in" visits once or twice a week. Investing in a bike and a couple of DVDs or just winging it works with my lifestyle. I tried to find free videos online similar to Yoga Download, but I haven't succeeded. If any of you know of something, please let me know.
The plan is to do a circuit training program 5 days a week: 20 minute run on the treadmill, 20 (25 actualy) minutes of 30 day shred, and 20 minutes on cycling. On the other two days, I think I will walk or do a full 60 minute cycling routine. Even hubby was happy to try to cycling bike. He thinks it will be a great addition to the treadmill, however he is no longer exercising consistently. And I mustn't forget Yoga. I did the Shiva Rea Yoga flow for 20 minutes on Thursday, and the next day I felt like I swam the English Channel. I will never again put off doing Yoga for more than 3 days. Seriously. However says that Yoga isn't enough for a training routine, never did a Shiva Rea Vinyasa flow.
Eating has been bad. Really bad. So bad, I am ashamed of recounting all of has happened. I won't allow myself to go back to that bad place. I won't allow myself to not take pictures of me in action. I won't allow myself to not post about it all. I was miserable not sharing things. I felt like holding it all in was expressed in chocolate binges, latte overloads, and dismissal of vegetables. Lots of fruit, of course. I wanted the sugar.
The Crazy Legs Classic isn't in the forseeable future. I haven't trained properly. If I do decide to do it, I will do it without training and just to do it. I will keep you posted.
Question: If you've ever taken time off, what steps or plans did you make to get back?

I swear by Yoga too. Am yet to start it regularly though. About plans to get back, I am figuring that out too! :-) The spin bike looks totally cool.
ReplyDeleteSorry you haven't been well. :(
ReplyDeleteThe spin bike looks awesome!!! Have fun with it.
My husband swears by Yoga. I've only done it a few times ... didn't love it or hate it. Maybe I'll try it one day soon again.
Hi Nona:
ReplyDeleteYes! Try it again. Trust me, if I can get this big body to do Yoga and love it, so can you. I have yet to do a routine on the bike, but hope to get to it soon. I still have residual coughing, but nothing that should stop me.
